New paintings by Swedish contemporary artist Ylva Kunze are exhibited in April at Republic in east London. The large-scale works on canvas explore “the tensions between polarities – fragility and strength, near and far, black and white.” The forests of Småland where she grew up are a major source of inspiration for the artist, who now lives and works in London.
